Baronnies wine

The vine used to be the main crop of the Buis region but little by little has been replaced by others. But now it’s making a comeback with the “Coteaux des Baronnies “ label – a wine which is much appreciated.
The vineyards are located in the Ste Jalle valley, in Bénivay, Mollans, Buis-les-Baronnies and Vercoiran.

“Coteaux des Baronnies” wines are made from different varieties of red and white grape. They can contain just one variety, or several mixed together. Varieties include: Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, Gamay, Chardonnay.

Table grapes are also grown in the Baronnies. The best-known is Muscat. The Côtes du Rhône region is not far away; part of the Mollans district is classed as Côtes du Rhône.
